Mac D For Danger

broken image

Lately I’m very obsessed with MAC Cosmetics and a friend who knows me well gave me a few Christmas presents. So I received a new lipstick and lip pencil from MAC and I was so excited to try them out! Thankyou santa :)!

Today I will review the lipstick D for Danger and the lip pencil Beet.

MAC D for Danger from The Matte Lip Collection of MAC Cosmetics is a dark berry lipstick with a matte finish. I really love the colour, I already own many red lipsticks in different shades but I didn’t own this colour in my collection yet. It’s the perfect fall and winter red, the berry undertone makes it look really chique.

The lipstick costs €19,50 and is available in MAC Cosmetics shops and counters. You can also order it online at www.maccosmetics.com

MAC Beet from MAC Cosmetics is the sugar to the coffee of D for Danger. It has the same dark berry colour. The lip pencil has a soft and smooth yet not brittle texture and spreads easily on the lips. It has overall a great pigmentation, one swip is just enough.

The lip pencil costs €15,50.

These are the swatches. It’s very pigmentated and beautifully matte.
D for Danger and Beet are a match made in heaven! The colours are exactly the same.

I’m so happy with my gifts! I really like the formula of the lipstick and lip pencil. It’s matte which makes it lasts for a long time, it can last up to 5-6 hours depending on what you eat or drink. Since you can build up the color, or leave a wash of colour on the lips, it’ll leave a stain .
It is not dry nor hydrating, it’s perfect!

Loves, Felicia

In Detail MAC D for Danger Matte Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience Packaging

The lipstick comes in a matte black and white printed rectangular cardboard box which bears all the necessary information. The actual lipstick has a matte black and silver body which is very strong and sturdy.

There is a white coloured sticker glued on the bottom which carries the lipstick name and number. The cap shuts lock which closes tightly and ensures that the lipstick is travel friendly. It can be carried along easily without any hassle. I have MAC Taupe lipstick always with me in my handbag and travelling with it did not cause any damage to it.

Mac Ruby Woo Matte Lipstick Texture & Finish.

The texture of the lipstick is very smooth and soft. It glides on my lips very smoothly as well as effortlessly without pulling or tugging my lips. I did apply it with a very light hand without putting in a lot of pressure like their retro matte ones.

The lipstick has a faint vanilla smell which pleases me and does not bother me at all. Though the lipstick is matte, it does not dry out my lips. The finish it gives is not completely matte. Its kind of provides a semi matte finish.

I do not feel a need of applying a lip balm underneath but if you are person who has extremely dry, flaky lips than a lip balm is essential for you. For me these matte lipsticks are quite moisturising.

MAC D for Danger Shade details Mac D For Danger

Mac describes the shade D for Danger as a brick red shade which is totally different. The shade D for Danger is a very beautiful Magenta color. The shade looks so gorgeous on my medium to dusky skin (MAC NC 42). When I wear it, everyone asks me that what shade I am wearing.

The shade is a very muted kinda of magenta shade which does not look too on your face or stark so it can be worn at day time as well. I always pair it with a white outfit and it looks bomb. The shade will look good on all skin tones and for deeper skin tone girls this can be a perfect dark pink lipstick.

Staying Power

The lipstick stayed on my lips for about max 4 hours without meal. The staying power also depends on the amount and type of food and fluid intake. With very oily food the lipstick will completely wear off from between the lips which does not look presentable.

Simbooster pro 1 5 1. https://coolzup839.weebly.com/jackpot-wheel-free-spins.html. It does transfer as it is semi matte and not completely matte like retro matte ones. It does not settle into fine lines nor it dries off the lips further and it also will not accentuate the dry patches of lips. The shade d for danger on coming off leaves a beautiful stain on lips which is little hard to get rid of completely.

MBF Advises
  1. For making the lipstick last more longer apply a nice same colored lip liner.
  2. If you have extremely dry lips exfoliate and than apply this lipstick.
  3. If you’re on a budget, I will suggest you to skip this lipstick as there are a lot of lipsticks available in indian market at an affordable rate and staying power. But if you are a lipstick lover like me and like to hoard them no matter what than you can try them out.
